Message to the incoming 2007
Annika Oskarsson and Thomas Nordstrom, in cooperation, four sculptures in
Tromsø is situated at the art museum, in the Town Hall (suspended in
2011 after the new portterminal building), at the airport and at Tromsøbridge.

The proposal consists of four different sculptures, each of which has its
own content and expression. They have a strong relationship through the themes,
materials and light. Our starting points and sources of inspiration is Tromsø,
history, nature and activities.
We communicate transportation by sea, ice, air, space, ground and in the mind.
There are points of contact for research and discovery, as well as various
myths and legends. The four works of art is quite different but similar in
terms of simple shapes and untraditional use of ornamentation. We use the
material in various forms, scales, plaiting, patterns and holes. Our ambition
is that they should work as well during the dark season, with its built-in
light as in summer, in constant daylight.
